This began with a statue of Mary, purchased at the Shrine of St. Ann’s in Cormac, a small suitcase, a rosary, special prayers and novena prayers . Mary has been busy, travelling to Eganville, Renfrew and Barry’s Bay. She has visited homes, local hospitals and senior’s residences and has been a sign of strength, consolation and hope to many.
The St. James the Less Catholic Women’s League, refers to her as “Travelling Mary”.
Members of St. James CWL invite you to take Mary home to spend some time with her. Put her on a book shelf or on your nightstand. Let Mary remind you to pray the rosary. Ask Mother Mary to intercede and take your concerns to the Lord.
If you would like to have “Travelling Mary” in your home for awhile, please call the Parish office to make arrangements. 613-628-2020
